In present-day research activities, analytical instrumentation is an essential component of chemical and biological studies. Increased precision and reproducibility have heightened the dependence of researchers on instrumental methods of analysis. The effective adaptation of technical developments in instrumental analysis requires a skilled workforce capable of operating and maintaining these sophisticated instruments. Keeping these aspects in view, an internship training programme has been scheduled to create a pool of technically competent manpower for handling analytical instruments.
Objectives of the Programme:
- To equip students with the theoretical aspects of different analytical methods, such as spectroscopy and chromatography.
- To impart training on procedures for handling sophisticated analytical instruments, including GC-MS, HPLC, HPTLC, XRD, ICP-AES, AAS, Raman spectrometers, and FT-IR.
- To provide training on data management and the routine maintenance of analytical instruments.
Targeted Trainees
This internship training is designed to equip students with theoretical knowledge and hands-on exposure to analytical instruments applicable in the research areas of chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, environmental science, etc. Upon successful completion of the period, an exam will be conducted, and certificates will be issued.
Eligibility
Candidates with Post graduation in any branch of Life Sciences/Chemistry/Environmental Sciences. Those who had completed the course within last 3 years will be given priority.
Selection Procedure
Selection to the programme will be based on post-graduation (PG) mark merit and/or aptitude test. Interested candidates can apply online following the link. Applications received after the last date will not be entertained. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated.
