CHNS Analyzer> CHNS Elemental Analyzer is an analytical instrument which uses combustion technique to determine weight percent of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen and sulfur in a variety of sample types. The main components of CHNS analyzer are gas supply (an inert carrier gas and a high purity oxygen), auto sampler, reactor column, furnace, GC column and TCD detector. The sample is weighed and introduced into the combustion reactor where with the proper amount of oxygen and combustion catalysts, the sample is combusted. After combustion, the reaction gas products are carried by helium flow. The products are carried through a packed GC column that provides the separation of the combustion gases and is detected by a TCD detector. The instrument ensures maximum reliability of the results because the combustion gases are directly carried to build in GC system without any splitting or dilution.

Applications

To determine elemental composition of polymers, plastics, petrochemicals, agriculture products, food, and pyrotechnical compounds.
